The Marion County Prosecutor's Office Burglary Enforcement Strategy Team presents Burglary Prevention Forums at no charge to the public. Click here for more information. From the Marion County Prosecutor's Office:
Burglaries are an epidemic in Marion County, with over 13,000 occurring just last year (2009). The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office has formed a new division to combat this trend, called the Burglary Enforcement Strategy Team, or B.E.S.T. The members of B.E.S.T. are dedicating to reducing the burglary rate by offering educational forums to residents. These forums discuss tried and true methods of burglary prevention, but also discuss modern and up-to-date ways of prevention as well. B.E.S.T. is conducting such a forum June 6, 2011 at 6:30 PM at the Woodruff Place Baptist Church, 1739 E Michigan St (enter off Walcott). This forum will take place at the regular meeting of the Willard Park of Holy Cross-Westminster Civic Alliance. Come take part in this event and learn how to make you and your neighborhood safer! For questions, please contact Daphne Whitmire at (317) 327-5333 (En español, llame Gerado Becerra (317) 327-5377, por favor).
Altic Lock Service is proud to be a sponsor of these forums.
Members of the Prosecutor's Office Burglary Enforcement Strategy Team provide a wealth of information to help prevent you from becoming the victim of a burglary.
"The office’s Landlord Training Program is a free, one-day seminar of instruction for landlords and property managers that provides best practices on preventing and maintaining crime-free properties. During the eight-hour course, landlords learn essential information about screening applicants, preparing rental agreements, spotting signs of drug and gang activity, peacefully resolving crises, and deterring crime though property and ground maintenance."
Barry Campbell, owner of Altic Lock Service, is also available to present information on "How to get the most out of your locks" to groups and organizations in the Indianapolis area. This is not a sales presentation. The information presented is much like that on our Lock FAQ page with hands-on demonstrations. For more information, call us at (317) 490-1469.
